Entrusted to Manage the Pemaron Strategic Power Plant, PLN IP Services Strengthens the Reliability of Bali's Electricity System
Jakarta, June 11, 2026 — In an effort to ensure the reliability of Bali's electricity supply, PT PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) officially signed the Transfer Agreement for the Provision of Leased Machines Phase 1 (60 MW) and Phase 2 (50 MW) for the PT PLN (Persero) UID Bali electricity system located in Pemaron. This strategic step strengthens PLN IP Services' role in maintaining power readiness and the stability of Bali's electricity system, a region that plays a vital role as an international tourism destination, a center of economic growth, and a location for various national and global events.
The signing ceremony was attended by Hari Cahyono, President Director of PLN IP Services, along with Lasiran, Business Director, Amir Murtono, Operations Director, Samsul Bahri, President Director of PT Pelayanan Energi Batam (PEB), and the management and consortium partners involved in the project.
The signing of this agreement is part of PLN Group's efforts to ensure the reliability of Bali's electricity system through professional and sustainable power plant management. With extensive experience in power plant operation and maintenance services, supported by engineering expertise and power plant asset management across Indonesia, PLN IP Services has been entrusted with the continued management of these facilities to maintain power availability and a reliable electricity supply for the community, businesses, and the tourism industry, which are key drivers of Bali's economy.
As one of the most strategic power systems in Indonesia, Bali requires a reliable and responsive electricity supply to support community activities and regional economic growth. The availability of ready-to-operate power plants is crucial for maintaining system stability, especially when electricity demand increases or when the system requires additional support to maintain supply continuity.
PLN IP Services President Director, Hari Cahyono, stated that this assignment demonstrates PLN Group's trust in PLN IP Services' capabilities in maintaining power plant reliability and supporting the national electricity system.
"The transfer of this rental machine provision is a strategic mandate that demonstrates PLN Group's trust in PLN IP Services. With integrated competencies in operations, maintenance, engineering, and power plant asset management, we are ready to ensure reliable electricity supply in Bali, which plays a vital role in the national economy and tourism sector," said Hari Cahyono.
Hari added that PLN IP Services, along with its consortium partners, will ensure the facility operates reliably, safely, and sustainably, while also providing benefits to the community through empowerment programs and strengthening relationships with the surrounding community.
Meanwhile, PT Pelayanan Energi Batam (PEB) President Director, Samsul Bahri, appreciated the synergy established during the transfer process and expressed confidence in PLN IP Services' ability to continue managing the facility.
