Jakarta, May 5, 2026 — PT PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) and PT PLN (Persero) East Nusa Tenggara Regional Main Unit (UIW NTT) officially signed a procurement agreement for the lease of a 15 MW MFO-fueled engine for the Tenau Diesel Power Plant, part of the Timor System. The signing, which took place at the PLN IP Services Head Office in Jakarta, represents a strategic step in strengthening the reliability of electricity supply in the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) region.

This collaboration is part of the PLN Group's ongoing efforts to maintain electricity system reliability, particularly in Eastern Indonesia, which faces geographical challenges and growing power needs. We express our appreciation for the renewed trust placed in PLN IP Services by PLN UIW NTT.

The Tenau Diesel Power Plant plays a strategic role in maintaining system stability, particularly in the Timor system, while ensuring reliable and sustainable electricity availability for the community.

Going forward, we are committed to continuously improving service quality through more optimal and efficient power plant management, thereby making a significant contribution to maintaining the reliability of the electricity supply in the NTT region."

Meanwhile, the General Manager of PLN UIW NTT, F. Eko Sulistyono, stated that this collaboration is a crucial part of strengthening the foundation of the electricity system in his region.

With the additional capacity from this collaboration, we are optimistic that the system will operate more stably and be able to anticipate potential power shortages.

Collaboration with PLN IP Services is key to maintaining the continuity of system operations, not only in the Timor System, but also in supporting the reliability of other systems, such as Flores and Sumba, which continue to grow.

We hope this synergy can continue to be strengthened in the future, thereby providing increasingly high-quality and efficient electricity services, while positively impacting PLN and the wider community."

Through this collaboration, PLN IP Services reaffirms its role as a strategic company in providing power generation services, including reliable and flexible rental power generation solutions. The rental scheme implemented also provides efficiency and accuracy in meeting power needs quickly.
