PLN IP Services' synergy for Papua further clarified with 28 MW of support for customers

Jakarta, September 10, 2026 – In celebration of National Customer Day, PT PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) supports the electricity needs of customers in Papua through its Rental Power Services, providing and managing power plants with a total capacity of 28 MW in the Jayapura, Timika, and Wamena systems. This capacity consists of 20 MW in the Jayapura system, 5 MW in the Timika system, and 3 MW in the Wamena system, as part of its efforts to provide a reliable electricity supply that meets customer needs in the Papua region.

This support was demonstrated through the signing of a Joint Agreement and Agreement on the Transfer of Power Plant Rental Contracts between PT PLN (Persero) Papua and West Papua Regional Main Units (UIW), PT PLN (Persero) Dwipantara Main Power Plant Unit (UIK), and PLN IP Services. This collaboration is part of an effort to support the sustainability of electricity supply while ensuring that customer needs in Papua are optimally met.

Through Rental Power Services, PLN IP Services provides electricity supply solutions supported by capabilities in power plant management and Operation & Maintenance (O&M). This competence and experience are crucial in ensuring that the power plants are operational and support customers' electricity system needs.

For PLN IP Services, power supply is not only about providing capacity, but also ensuring reliability and quality of service for customers. The presence of power plants in Papua's three electricity systems is expected to support community activities, public services, and economic activities that require a reliable electricity supply.

PLN IP Services President Director, Hari Cahyono, stated that PLN IP Services' contribution through its Rental Power Services demonstrates its commitment to providing solutions tailored to customer needs.
