Lombok's Electricity System Strengthens
PLN IP Services and PLN UIK Dwipantara Successfully Add 20 MW of Capacity
Lombok, June 26, 2026 – A stronger electricity supply is one of the foundations for driving economic growth and regional development. To address this need, PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) and PLN Unit Induk Genbangkit (UIK) Dwipantara successfully completed a 20 MW addition to generating capacity in Lombok (June 6). The additional capacity, spread across Sambelia (5 MW), Jeranjang (8 MW), and Ampenan (7 MW), is a strategic step in strengthening Lombok's electricity system, anticipating growing electricity demand, and supporting economic growth and development in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province.
The success of this project is the result of synergy between PLN UIK Dwipantara and PLN IP Services, a strategic company within the PLN Group, with expertise in power plant operation and maintenance, engineering, and plant project implementation. Through careful planning, the implementation of quality standards, and a strong work safety culture, PLN IP Services plays an active role in ensuring that each stage of the project runs according to target, ensuring that the capacity addition can be completed optimally.
