PLN IP Services Strengthens Employee Awareness in the Digital Era
Jakarta, May 7, 2026 — In an effort to maintain employee integrity, well-being, and professionalism, PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) held a Townhall Meeting themed "Financially Wise, Mentally Healthy, Free from Online Gambling & Online Loans." This meeting was held in a hybrid format at the PLN IP Services Head Office and attended online by all employees across various work units on Thursday (May 7). This event demonstrated the company's commitment to raising awareness regarding the dangers of online gambling and online loans through the dissemination of company policies and mental health education for all PLN IP Services employees.
The rapid development of digital technology has brought various conveniences to daily life. However, this convenience also brings new challenges, one of which is increased access to online gambling and online loans, which can impact a person's financial condition, mental health, and work productivity. Through this activity, PLN IP Services strives to raise employee awareness so they can manage their finances wisely, maintain their mental health, and understand the risks and negative impacts of online gambling and online loans.
The event was opened by the President Director of PLN IP Services, Hari Cahyono. In his remarks, Hari Cahyono emphasized the company's importance in preventing online gambling and online loans in the workplace, especially amidst the advancement of digital technology, which has made various accesses increasingly accessible.
"The current development of digital technology brings various conveniences to daily life. However, behind these benefits, there are challenges that must be anticipated together, particularly regarding the rise of online gambling and online loans, which are increasingly easy to access. The ease of technology makes these offers very present in people's lives, often even appearing when someone is vulnerable or facing certain pressures. Therefore, awareness and self-control are needed to avoid falling into risks that can impact financial condition, mental health, and work productivity," said Hari Cahyono.
Following the opening, the event continued with a socialization of the Directors' Circular regarding the Prohibition of Online Gambling and Online Loan Defaults, delivered by Imam Adi Prihantoro, HR Director of PLN IP Services. This socialization is part of the company's preventive measures to create a healthy, safe, productive, and integrity-based work environment.
In his presentation, Imam Adi Prihantoro explained that the issue of online gambling and online loans is not only related to financial matters, but also concerns behavior, mental health, emotional stability, and individual integrity in the workplace.
"The company views the issue of online gambling and online loans as not merely a financial issue, but also related to behavior, emotional stability, mental health, and individual integrity. The impact is not only felt by the individual involved, but can also impact the work environment and company productivity. Therefore, PLN IP Services continues to promote preventive measures through education, awareness building, psychological support, and financial management literacy so that all PLN IP Services employees have mental resilience, are financially wise, and are able to build a culture of mutual care and mutual reminders," explained Imam Adi Prihantoro.
As part of strengthening employee education and awareness, PLN IP Services also presented Chaista Rahmanillah, M.Psi., Psychologist, as a resource person, who presented a session titled "Caring for Your Soul Amidst the Dangers of Online Gambling and Online Loans." In this session, participants were provided with an understanding of the psychological impacts of online gambling addiction and the financial pressures caused by online loans, including how to recognize the signs of stress, anxiety, and addictive behavior that can impact both personal and professional life.
In addition, participants received education on the importance of building self-control, maintaining mental health, strengthening social support in their communities, and providing concrete steps to overcome addictive behavior and develop healthier and more responsible financial management patterns.
Through this Townhall Meeting, PLN IP Services hopes that all employees will gain a better understanding of the risks and negative impacts of online gambling and online loans, while also strengthening a healthy, productive, caring, and integrity-based work culture within PLN IP Services.
